Great spot for a little dining al fresco in the warm evenings of Los Angeles. In the past I had either a good cup of coffee or a nice iced matcha with oat milk. First time ordering more than coffee or tea. Had a nice dinner. Great looking menu. Nice portions. Went with their recommendation of a chicken and rice dish and a ceasar salad with shrimp. Finished off the nice meal with a latte and a little chocolate pastry. Great news! They are now open till 9:00pm. Hope they continue to stay open late! Definitely will be back sooner than later.
Very unique place. It's has comfortable setting. Noticed many people, upon ordering a drink, stays there for a long time (doing work, studying...). It has college campus atmosphere (My son who attends UCR, wishes that their campus have a cafe similar to insomnia cafe).
They had thai iced tea!! Hooray! I love that stuff. Great atmosphere, cash only. You have to buy a certain amount to get the wifi password. There is a massage chair which I thought was worth it. $5 for a 25 minute massage. Not as good as a human but pretty decent for a chair.
Cute cozy place with good coffee. They have a relatively small selection of tasty food. I especially like their pizzas. Insomnia cafe is pretty quiet during weekdays, making it a good place to read or work. Street parking only.
Iaro pulls the best espresso shot anywhere, and is always in a positive, jovial state of mind. Great vibe under these new owners!
Wow. Stopped by the shop after hearing about some new owners. The people were fantastic both crowd and baristas. To say the baristas knew what they were doing is an understatement. As someone who worked in coffee this place is a phenomenal spot.
So sad that this place closed. This was THE coolest coffee shop in all of Los Angeles. So many great memories. I'd still be going there if it was still open.
Highly recommend coming for Saturday afternoon tea. The new owners have transformed the place and the food is great. Lovely place to unwind and chat with a friend. The lychee tea was the best and I recommend it over the camellia tea. Friendly service and chill vibe.
We rented this out for our shoot this evening and we have a tremendous experience!! They were very kind and patient with us. Very Covid safe and amazing lighting to shoot in! We will be back for sure! I highly recommend booking them. We found them on peerspace. I don't know if they still do regular service anymore but for a shooting location this was great!
